Should I use my institutional or personal email to Sign up?: An active personal email address is preferred. You CAN use your institutional email address but they appear to block mail in a haphazard manner without your control, and lead to miscommunication.

Why should I join the Face the Core mailing list?: Joining the mailing list of Face the Core is easy. You will be among the first to hear about new Face the Core sessions and enroll before the spots are taken. We are very particular about your privacy and will not share or sell the mailing list to any other third party.

What does the demo contain?: The demo gives you a preview of 3 questions in each title. It has the same functionality as the full purchase. In the demo you will answer the three questions and then you will be shown the answers, performances and learning points for each question. You can then decide whether to buy that session or not.

How do I access the demo?: Go to Available Live Sessions and Coreself Titles. Click on the Demo link and it will take you to the Demo.

How do I enroll?: Click on the Go to Face the Core Modules button. If the Available Coreself Module is not open, click on the bar to open it. Click on the tiles to add them to the shopping cart. If you want, you can select all sessions at once. Then just pay through Paypal. It is really very simple.

Are there any discounts?: There are a total of 35 modules, each costing $10. However if you buy 25 modules you get the remaining 10 for free. That is a discountof $100. You don't have to buy all 25 modules together. You can buy them at any time.

Can I pay by any method other than through Paypal?: No at present, the only way to pay for these sessions is through Paypal. If there is a really strong issue, please email us and we will explore other means.

My access is shown as provisional. What do I do?: If your Paypal payment does not go through, you will be enrolled provisionally. You can check your status on the My-Modules page. If your enrollment is provisional, we will email you a Paypal invoice for the total amount. We will confirm your enrollment within 6 hours after payment of that invoice. Then you can access your material.

How do I ask for a refund?: Review the refund calculation below and email us. Any applicable refund is made within 1 week

How is the refund calculated?: Refund will be calculated based on the duration since purchase and number of questions accessed for a given session. LESSER of the two amounts will be refunded. Based on duration since purchase - Full refund within 1 week, 50% refund from 1 week to 1 month. No refund after 1 month. Based on Access - Access is defined as landing on the MCQ page irrespective of whether you answer the MCQ or not. Full refund if less than 10% questions have been accessed and no refund if 90% or more questions have been accessed. Between these, the refund is prorated.

How long is my access valid?: Your access is valid until you pass your core exam!! When you enroll you will have access valid until right after the next Core Exam date. If you don't pass at that time, just email us a screen shot of your ABR result, and we will extend it to the next Core Exam

What if I am taking the Core Exam AFTER the next time? Your access will still end at the next expiration.But let us know your plan and we will extend it.

Can I redo the MCQ's if my access is extended? No you can only do the MCQ's ones. Extension of your access will give you access to your solved MCQ's and the teachong material

What does each module contain?: On purchase of a module, you get access to a test with 50-75 MCQ’s. After you have taken the test, you get access to the dashboard page with the questions, answers, your performance, group performance and buttons to show take home points and discussion video (if available).

When I do the test, how much time should I give to each question?: The questions are designed to be answered in less than one minute each. In our opinion spending more time than that does not have any added benefit. The whole idea is to find out what you know and what you don’t, as quickly as possible so that you can get on with the task of correcting your deficiencies.

Do I have to finish the entire test in one go?: No. If you do it in one go, it will take about 45-75 minute. If you do not have the time, you can stop at any time. When you go back to the test, it will start from where you left off.

Can I consult a book or Google stuff while answering the test MCQ?: You can do that if you wish to and that is your style of learning. However, in our opinion you would have wasted the money you paid for your subscription, because you would have short-circuited the aim of the test - to know where you lack. Once you have finished the test, we encourage you to use additional materials to supplement your learning.

Why do you force us to complete the test before showing the answers?: One of the features of the Face the Core program that people have loved in the past is that it forces you to go through the questions and think independently. So we force you to finish the test so that you are in a much better position to recognize your deficiencies.

When you have already given the learning points in the material, why the video?: First, hearing from the faculty what you have already learned reinforces that knowledge. Second, in the discussion, there is more detail given by the faculty.

How long is each video?: The video are 75 to 90 minutes long.

I have already finished answering the test MCQ. Can I get access to the test portion again?: No the enrollment gives you only a one time access to answer the test MCQ’s.

How do I know that Face the Core material is relevant to the Core exam?: The material on face the Core has been prepared by experienced faculty and rated by candidates who have taken the Core exam. We make those ratings available to you as a guide of sorts, but remember the Core exam is an evolving exam. The emphasis on different aspects may vary. Therefore the ratings of a question may depend on the experience of the raters with the past exams and does not predict the future. So be assured all the material is relevant. Learn it for the Core exam and for future professional life.

Who are the faculty teaching Face the Core sessions?: Face the Core sessions are taught by knowledgeable, experienced and passionate faculty who have been highly praised by the residents who attended Face the Core in the past.

Do Face the Core faculty have inside knowledge of the Core Exam?: No. Face the Core faculty ARE NOT and HAVE NEVER been involved in the development, testing or any other aspect of the ABR Core Exam. They do not have any insider knowledge of the ABR Core Exam.

What is the stance of Face the Core on 'recall' questions?: The faculty and staff of Face the Core stand firmly with the ABR in strongly condemning and discouraging any sharing of Core exam or any other examination questions in any format. We believe that the standing of the Radiology community is dependent on a fair and unsullied ABR examination system. We have no access to 'recalls' and we do not and will never ask for or accept 'recalls'. The development of material for Face the Core is based solely on the experience of the faculty as practicing radiologists and teachers, and on guidelines, advice and information from the ABR freely available to the public on the ABR website and in various radiology publications.
